The Blue House Carisbrook
Carisbrook is 50min north of Ballarat and the same distance to the East is Bendigo. Castlemaine is 25min S.E. on the Pyrenees Hwy.
Carisbrook is an old gold mining town inhabited during the gold rushes of the 1800's. It lies on the banks of Deep Creek, a perennial flow banked by red gums.
Aboriginal Boomerang site
On the outskirts of town near the creek is an ancient aboriginal initiation site and stone formation.
The Carisbrook stone arrangement is a well-preserved Aboriginal stone arrangement in Victoria,
Australia. It measures 60 by 5 metres (197 by 16 ft) and is one of only
